totem crash

Probably it would be useful include more information about your
system, ubuntu version (warty, hoary, breezy), backend xine uses
(totem-gstreamer or totem-xine), kernel version, gnome version, if you
use closed binary drivers for your video card (like nvidia or ATI
ones), your xorg setup, and things like that. Without information,
it's really difficult to guess what's going on your computer.

Important notes:

1 - I think it would be more appropriate to post your problems in the
ubuntu-users list, since this list is focused in ubuntu development.

2 - Give a good check on your hardware, specially the temperatures of
CPU, mobo, and video card. Hard lock crashes usually happen associated
with hardware failures. Of course this is just a naive guess, since
you provided us with few information.
