firefox without gnome

Hello

I want to use firefox browser without gnome
i do:
#apt-get install mozilla-firefox
It's only sugest me to install mozilla-firefox-gnome-support and say
what will install a lot of gnome's library.
Is it possible to use firefox without gnome?

I look through packages.debian.org for firefox and found that it doesn't
depend on gnome
why in ubuntu i forced to install gnome library?
