Question about original Ubuntu compilation

Question: Does anyone have scripts that were used to compile packages?
Anything for massive (re)compilation rom sources? Or info how
compilation was done on orginal Ubuntu?...

Reason: My team wants to recompile (large) part of Ubuntu to make
repository of packages optimized for march=i686 and mcpu=athlon.
