One problem I've experienced in this scenario is when you have a DHCP
network but must use a proxy to access the Internet. On the hoary
install the user who doesn't know about the expert installation (where
it is asked) will have to wait a _lot_ of time during the setup of the
apt sources. Maybe just ask the question (I guess even windows asks
about this, although that shouldn't be a reason for ubuntu to do the
same) or put a shorter time out on it.
