Spatial mess prevention

Just chiming in here...

I think that this was a seriously bad idea. It breaks the functionality
that spatial added. If this is to be the norm, why not just make browser
mode the norm, since this patch essentially makes spatial mode a less
functional browser mode. I adore spatial mode, and this just kills it's
usefulness.

Sorry for the rant, I'm just amazed at this.
