Are there plans to let hald use fstab-sync to add all the partitions to /etc/fstab (vfat,ntfs etc) ?

Are there plans to let hald use fstab-sync to add all the partitions
to /etc/fstab (/media) (vfat,ntfs etc) ? This would make our lives a lot
easier :)
