My first guess is that you haven't updated synaptic's list of available
packages recently.  Click "Reload" to do that.

By the way, on the command line, you can use "sudo apt-get build-dep
gnopernicus" to install all of the prerequisites for the 0.8.4-2 version.
That's likely sufficient for the new one as well, but if not, it will at
least give you a solid starting point.
