Hello Philippe, please consider the following:

The ubuntu devs are surely very busy people. This thread is running
for a very long time now with _cyclic_ replies. Thus can you consider
abandon it? Look, you are already tremendously lucky to have the means
to participate and assist to many "internal" debates canonical
employees do either on the MLs or IRC. Can you do this with
proprietary software companies? This team, despite being small, has
put together an amazing product already for zero money, and they have
a website full of information about their policies which includes
supporting and promoting the use of Free Software which is on itself a
very noble goal. Given this, the fact that they provide infrastructure
for the use of other kinds of software (and even support some closed
drivers), only proves their good intentions.
Now one of the points of free software is that people really care
about the community, so please participate if you want. Contribute
with repositories with all the software you are mentioning and I guess
it could be included in the wiki. Is it so bad that people have to
look at a wiki from time to time if they want to use certain features?

Best regards,
Rui
