hoary / gnome problem

i just upgraded to hoary and ran into some problems with gnome.
The following is from ~/.xsession-errors :

/etc/gdm/PreSession/Default: Registering your session with wtmp and utmp

any kind of suggestions/help is greatly apreciated.. ;-]
