I don't understand one thing about the linux world - One one hand they say that they don't get (enough) funds but on the other hand they also don't want to do the required stuff to get the funds. Kind of strange.

I know that (linux) open source developers are not motivated by money.
Then I wonder why do they even try for fundraising
(https://www.phoronix.com/news/GNOME-Foundation-Funding-Need)?
One day GNOME will also close. freedesktop.org and Alpine linux are
already on the hook
(https://linux.slashdot.org/story/25/02/04/0044210/popular-linux-orgs-freedesktop-alpine-linux-are-scrambling-for-new-web-hosting).
If money is not the concern then why are they even asking for money?
The reality is that linux world needs money to survive but you are not
accepting that.

I understand that reality is hard to digest.
I went to GNOME also and they also asked me to go away. I understand
that it is hard to accept reality.
I am sorry if I have offended someone.
