Moin moin,

gnutls ends in a endless loop (sometimes), on my system Ubuntu 20.04

libapache2-mod-gnutls/focal,now 0.9.0-1.1ubuntu1 amd64

Server version: Apache/2.4.41 (Ubuntu)
Server built: 2020-08-12T19:46:17

gnutls-cli 3.6.13

at the same time as i get this warning:

[Sat Aug 29 11:43:17.029739 2020] [gnutls:warn] [pid 124790]
(20014)Internal error (specific information not available): error
fetching from cache 'dbm:/var/cache/apache2/gnutls_cache'

one thread goes into endless loop: 100% CPU usage divided throuh all
endless loop threads:

"/usr/sbin/apache2 -k start"

i also get some other log entries

[Sat Aug 29 14:23:22.518864 2020] [gnutls:error] [pid 126941]
(104)Connection reset by peer: [client 192.168.15.16:49498] Caching a
fresh OCSP response failed [Sat Aug 29 11:42:30.638765 2020]
[gnutls:error] [pid 122257] Invalid HTTP response status from
ocsp.int-x3.letsencrypt.org: HTTP/1.0 400 Bad Request
[Sat Aug 29 11:42:30.638870 2020] [gnutls:warn] [pid 122257]
(104)Connection reset by peer: Async OCSP update failed for
mydomains.tld:443, next update in 300 seconds.

i had a try to compile a newer version

git clone https://mod.gnutls.org/git/mod_gnutls

but, ends at:

./configure
....
checking whether DEFAULT_EXP_LIBEXECDIR is declared... no
./configure: line 10503: syntax error near unexpected token `LIBGNUTLS,'
./configure: line 10503: `PKG_CHECK_MODULES(LIBGNUTLS, gnutls >= 3.6.3)'

i would like to solve this anyway. But i could need some help, finding into this type of programming.
i am a software developer, but haven't worked with gcc and unix since 15 years.

but maybe the error isn known and you can give me a hint?

this is listen like realy similar:

https://mod.gnutls.org/ticket/136#no1

shall i open a ticket anywhere?

bye bye
Thomas
