Looks like a regression has already been fixed:

If you still have a regression, you should start from
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/jansson and make sure a bug exists
to track the problem. This will help coordinate with everyone else
interested in bugs in that package. Bugs that represent a regression
through an update in a stable release should be tagged
"regression-update".
