And we can't just upgrade a package on all enterprise users' systems.
They use LTS releases because that's exactly what they don't want :)
Some options you have are:
1) Arrange a snap. See https://snapcraft.io/ and
https://snapcraft.io/create/. Snaps are decoupled from the OS and if the
upstream build process is straightforward then so is creating the snap.
2) Arrange a backport. See
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuBackports.
3) Backport the package but put it in a PPA instead.
Either way, expect to have to do some development work yourself.
