dpkg -> install from uncompressed trees ?

Hi folks,

for my regular pbuilder runs, I'd like to keep the
dependenc packages in uncompressed form and instead
of always uncompressing .de file each time, just
hardlink the files into the chroot tree.

Is such an aproach already possible w/ current dpkg ?
