Before big decisions like dropping or replacing an app, it is
always good to contact the developers to know exactly how
those issues are being handled.
Yes, the bug report is a kind of contact already, but people
on this list might have some extra resources like knowing
where the devs lurk in IRC, etc. Plus, it is not a uncommon
that a lot of development is happening silently.
