Hi Erik;

I understand your concerns. There's multiple layers involved in making
USB sticks work, so the best course of action would be to file a bug
report so that developers can look into the issue. You can do this
easily. In a terminal, type in the following command:

ubuntu-bug network-manager

Follow the steps, and you should be able to add all the details to a
form. All the information added will constitute the bug report we need
with debugging information so that we have the best chance of making
that stick work for the next release.

Make sure you also include the information from this other command:

lsusb -v

There may be additional information needed though, so don't be
surprised if we ask you to try a few more things to know how that
device works.
