Supported Hardware question

Hello all,

I hope you are well. I'm trying to install Ubuntu 11.04 and the installation
freeze during the process. The monitor get freezed with a mosaic image of
squared colours. I'm not sure about hardare compatibility. I have a Gigabyte
GA-P67A-UD3 motherboard with a GeForce GT240 video card. Is the video card
supported in this Ubuntu distribution..??
