high cpu requirement for asymptote in ubuntu 10.04

  Dear ubuntuers:

     Recently I upgraded my pc from ubuntu 8.04 to ubuntu 10.04. Usually 
I use asymptote for creating my graphic. I just can't do the very simple 
code even in example of asymptote in ubuntu 10.04. It took very long cpu 
time and didn't give me any pdf or eps file. I also complied asymptote 
1.93 manually. But it didn't have any improvement. I think it is a bug 
for asymptote in ubuntu 10.04 since the same code can be run correctly 
in ubuntu 8.04.
