The ~/.mozilla-thunderbird is the Thunderbird-2.0 dir. the 3.0 dir is
~/.thunderbird
You should not still have ~/.mozilla-thunderbird in ~/
AFAIR
I have been using 3.0 for a long time now, sometime in Karmic devel
cycle so i haven't had the 2.0 dir.
Anyway please make sure your settings are correct. I'm not sure what you
choose for the import wizard but if it has been doing it from day one in
3.0 for you than it is possible your settings are not correct.
This does not always mean it is your fault. You can try to remove all
your Thunderbird extensions.
Can you please file a bug if it continues after trying our suggestions.
