Ubiquity generates hostname using login name

It would be much harder to remember, though, and look really weird.
Also, many people use short user names in order to type less at login.

But it is just a sensible default, and you can change it any way you
like if you are concerned about bruteforcing user names.

I wouldn't mind if the default was just "ubuntu-desktop", but the way
it is now is actually quite nice if you set up multiple machines in
your house and use <name>-desktop.local to access them.
