acpi-support patches that could use some love ... and a home

Hi all,
         There has been a bugzilla open for a very long time that has
been attempting to get into hardy and fix many problems in the
acpi-support package. The bug was even marked as a milstone to be
included in hardy alpha-6, but it never got in because no one is
looking at acpi-support. So I am asking .. pretty please .. with sugar
one top .. and sprinkles .. for someone to look at and include include
the patches into hardy acpi-support. All the work is done for you ..
all you need to do is include it at this point.
