Ich hab deine Anfrage bekommen weil du bei deiner Anmeldung im Launchpad als 
Deine Sprache Deutsch eingetragen hast. Daaher nochmal das ganze in Deutsch.

Dein Problem scheint an Xorg zu liegen und nicht an Compiz.

Wenn du dir einmal die /var/log/Xorg.0.log anschaust wirst du dort Zeilen mit 
glx und GLX finden die sagen ob glx gestartet wurde oder nicht.

Übrigens, Du hast doch den Rechner bereits einmal neu gestartet, oder?
