Hello,

As was discussed and agreed on at UDS, flavours participating in the
opt-in milestones may ask for a subset of the Ubuntu archive to be
temporarily frozen while they get ready for release.

Edubuntu and Kubuntu decided to participate in alpha-1 which is due for
release tomorrow.

As of a few minutes ago, at Kubuntu's request, all packages that ship on
the Kubuntu images have been frozen.

You can find the exact lists of source packages being frozen here:
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-release/britney/hints-ubuntu/files

The freeze is done in britney, the tool we use to promote packages from
the proposed pocket to the release pocket. That means that developers
can continue to upload packages as usual, any frozen package will simply
be temporarily held in the proposed pocket.
