Hi all!

This email marks the beginning of the Feisty Feature Freeze (FF), as
seen on the Feisty Release Schedule [0]. This means the MOTU will no
longer be accepting or uploading new (never been in Ubuntu before)
packages.

The goal of Feature Freeze is to allow developers and contributors
time to work out an bugs and quality control issues on the existing
set of packages in Universe. Good places to start are Andrew
Mitchell's excellent bug page for critical bugs that have been fixed
in Debian since the current Ubuntu package [1] and the list of
Universe bugs in Malone[2].

REVU will still be open to uploads and reviewing can still be done
(although the MOTU will focus primarily on bug fixes) but we will not
upload REVU packages to Universe until after Feisty is released.

Thanks for your time and contributions. As always, let's make Feisty
rock!

-Jordan Mantha

P.S There is a possibility for FF exceptions depending on a decision
by the MOTU Council (at the Friday meeting) whether to accept
exceptions and who will process them [3].
