IPTC support in gthumb

Hi guys,

just first thanks for great work on ubuntu. Just wondering because I can`t
find anywhere around... Way the IPTC support which is supported in gthumb is
not compiled in by default in Ubuntu official package ? Just wondering I can
compile it in by me self but there is apparently many folks who would like
it in distro as they cant do it and then saying something that gthumb does
not support this feature but actually it does...:)
