New Desktop Idea... (IMPORTANT TO ART TEAM...has to do with Icons)

Hey guys,

Though the screenshots of the idea look really cool, I just don't
agree with the idea of "imitating" Windows (or any other OS for that
matter) designs.  Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely not a
Windows-hater but I really wish we would stay in the "let's continue
innovating and creating new ideas" path instead of customizing the
look-and-feel of Ubuntu in order to make it more Windows-like.

This is definitely not an invitation for a flame, but just my own
personal thoughts.
