Might have helped to cc flavour communities in with their m/l's - who 
know's how many people involved in those read this list.

Other than at least one ;)

For the record - we (Xubuntu) have Martin from Mate in our dev channel, 
we also tend to speak to each other in qa and release channels often 
around milestone time(s)

As far as the 'release coordination might be easier' goes - not sure it 
would make my life easier - much simpler to ping whoever I need to talk 
to on IRC and get an answer then.

For release co-ordination you'd need to expect people from the release 
team to read this new list.
