I think we had an unfortunate precedent set by Jono kicking the
threads off in November with a blog post instead of discussion here,
but I want to echo how important this is. It's very difficult to
constructively respond to blog posts, particularly long ones. You
can't comment inline, you can't save a response in most comment
systems if your comment is long and you aren't finished. There are
several sections of your blog post I want to respond to in order to
understand your perspective better, but I can't find a good way to do
this. I understand wanting to have a blog and get your ideas out there
to be shared, but please bring important points into a format that we
can respond to if you want constructive feedback. Perhaps start a
thread for each concern you have when you have time for a discussion
so we can respond and together work to figure out solutions.

I'd also like to mention that we had Summit meetings and IRC
discussions about community.ubuntu.com and its content content, we
created blueprints with assignees, volunteers throughout the community
wrote and submitted content, I scoured the galleries of LoCos around
the world to provide photos for the website to brighten it up. We
volunteered vast amounts our time to build something we thought was
useful and want to see it succeed, so please do work with us to
continue that work, you're one of us now :)

I'm very happy to have your perspective as a community newcomer. Your
thorough blog posts show that you clearly care about Ubuntu and we
always need more people like you working with us to help improve
things for the next generation of Ubuntu contributors, thank you!
