Según las notas del pad dice que hay MUCHAS cosas y que no ayudarían para
migrar de Firefox a Chromium
so
Should we switch to Chromium as *default* browser?
Chromium isn't - isn't what?
- data migration from Firefox should be more obvious.
- extensions do not migrate
- does not build on all architectures. some people care about PowerPC.
- Does not work with the Orca screen reader, a Chromium/Chrome specific
extension needs to be used, which uses its own set of keystrokes, and
doesn't integrate well with the rest of the accessibility stack. It also
requires NACL support.
- The firefox-lp-improvements port for Chromium which helps Bug Squad and
Bug Control does not work on Chromium.
- Chromium has no PDF plugin (unlike Chrome and Firefox)
- Chromium has worse performance when memory usage is tight.
what are the plans for security support? (ie, we have predisclosure with
mozilla but haven't with chromium in the past). Lack of predisclosure could
delay timely updates
any benchmarks available or done between the 2 browsers to compare
performance?
- review the WebApps patches (native) for chromium (chromeless), since they
are invasives & all,
De Igual modo Solo es una propuesta por lo que puedo leer y no se afirma
que totalmente sea así
Aquí está el BluePrint para que lo revisen
