Lors de l'atelier Going Kompyuta nous avons discuté égalment la questin de
la création d'un clavier camerounais.
L'affaire a évalué et il existe desormais un propostion technique pour un
tel clavier que nous voulons envoyer à Xorg.
Il est donce question de tester les fichiers sur Ubuntu.
Je rappelle qu'un fournisseur sur place nous a proposer de fabriquer et
vendre ces type de clavier une fois que Xorg accepte la proposition.

Matthew Lee du SIL Cameroon a continué à travailler sur le sujet du clavier
camerounais. D’abord un grand merci à lui et à Jenni Badle. Ci-joint vous
pouvez trouver la proposition.

Avant de l’envoyer à la fondation X.org il est préférable de tester le bon
fonctionnement des fichiers.

Ceci est donc un appel à participation au test à tous qui disposent d’une
machine Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora, Suse, etc.) Veuillez envoyer vos commentaires
et propositions á ce sujet jusqu’au 10 mai à moi (bibl at yaounde.goethe.org)
ou à Matthew Lee (Matthew_Lee at sil.org)

 Nous allons discuter le sujet finalement le 14 mai pendent le prochain
atelier Going Kompyuta,  mais juste pour l’envoyer le même jour. La
fondation x.org attends les propositions jusqu’au 16 mai. Une fois ce délais
est passé nous serons obligé d’attendre jusqu’au Avril 2012 pour que la
proposition soit intégré dans une version Ubuntu.

  Dites-moi si vous avez besoin de ce message en français.

  I’m sorry these files are so delayed.  Working on a 400 line source file
in a not-so-documented syntax presents some issues when it comes to
debugging.  I’m also a relatively new Linux user, so I got stuck for a
while.  This week, I met with a Linux power-user who came into town, and
with his help, we were finally able to solve the rest of the problems with
these keyboards.  The special combinations (ɛəɗ) now work with either the
“Cameroon Key” or “AltGr” (as described in the header of the CM file).  The
keyboards are documented and installation is much simpler than before.

Delete the .XCompose file (~/) that I added the first time.

Copy “cm” into */usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/*

Open */usr/share/X11/xkb/rules/evdev.xml* and paste in the contents of
evdevInsert.xml in between </layout> and <layout> before “Congo, Democratic
Republic of”.

Log off, Log back on.

Install the AZERTY or QWERTY Keyboard, they should be listed under Cameroon.
