bonjour,

sens presque oblige des vous informer en esperant un travailcommun avecc
vous tous.

je me permets donc de vous envoyer quelques nouvelles infos, quelques
unes etant tristes a pleurer.

michel

hello,

As you know, we made a bus in Switzerland to bring material in Cameroon.
we knew, that it will be not easy and it and is still not easy at all.
in Switzerland we could not do it without the help of tony and other
friends. and then we were welding the doors at the side and behind, to
prevent, the stealing of the material. it was much work but we succeed
and i want to thank all the people who help us.

The ship was supposed to come the 15.December in Douala, but it came the
31.December and again and again it was a big work to bring the bus out
of the port. but after many trouble the bus was on Tuesday 18.1.2010 out
of the port. i thank here too, all the people who help us to do it. but...

we see very soon, that a lateral door, which was welted, was open. some
computers were already open and they steal the memory. strange is: the
door was open and can be closed with the key, what it normally mean,
that this door had not to be broken. and the behind door? it was trying
to force to open it, it was welded at 2 places with a car or something
similar, they try to break the welded and the welded down was broken,
but the welded upwards don't break. that the reason we don't loose the
whole material (much thanks to tony, who make the welding of the door)

what we loose? all the flat screens (33), only 2 footparts are left. all
the measurement tools for electricity are away and other less important
things. but in all catastrophe has some high lights: the solar panel are
here, we suppose, they don't know what it was and left it there. the
batteries were down and could not be removed.

what it means?
it will be in moment to do a computer network in a place where it is no
electricity at all: we don't have at the moment 12 volts monitors. for
the solar project, it will be difficult, we don't have voltmeter to make
the measurements.
we are still wiling to go forward with the project, especially the solar
project.
about the computer network, we are lacking of monitors. we will do a
network in the town limbe with the material we have or we can find here.
ok, we think it is important to inform all our friends, even if this
reality is ugly and against us.
we hope to inform you with better news very soon... we need help and we
don't mean only about money, but help as we can wait from friends: our
name here is "linux friends".

michel
