[ubuntu-cloud] EC2 Instance Portability

For testing and troubleshooting it would sometimes be nice to be able to
download a VM instance and run it locally.  Is this possible with EC2.

Seeing as it is XEN based virtualization I would think so, but can't find
any documentation about this.
