Hello,
My name is Arvind S Raj and I just learnt that Ubuntu User Days is coming up
soon. I would like to take a session for User Days.
Name: Arvind S Raj(dnivra on network irc.freenode.net)
Topic: Networking and sharing files in Ubuntu.
Abstract: Users who are new to ubuntu(and assuming have previously used
windows; i've not used a mac so unsure) would find the networking to be very
different here. Through this session, they would be introduced to basics of
using network manager to configure their network connections-assigning
static IP addresses/obtaining dynamic IP addresses, connecting to PPPoE,
connecting to internet with static IP(will need a bit of help here-i use a
PPPoE connection so not quite sure how the cable modems work). Optionally I
could talk about command line equivalents. Attendees will also be introduced
to accessing/creating windows share using samba and using ssh.
(It might be a bit too much I've chosen to cover; any
refinements/corrections/additions/removal welcome.)

Launchpad Profile: https://launchpad.net/~arvindsraj
Available time: 09:30UTC to 13:30UTC, January 29th 2011
Preferred Slot: 09:30 UTC, January 29th 2011
I also had a few queries regarding the session.
1. Is a set of slides required?
2. Should each and every line that I say be prepared and reviewed before
hand?
