Hi Simone,
To me it makes a difference if it is to be a commerica offering rather than a
volunteer one. For a commercial offering you do indeed accept a level of
responsibility for the support and need to be able to assure a certain level
of competence. There is already a method for this - why not use LPI
certifications? You could perhaps charge different amounts for different
levels of certification, and it would also give you some measure of
differentiation of skills. Not only would that meet your needs, but it would
also support the LPI initiative and increase awareness of Linux skills as a
professional qualification, not just a hobby.
