Hi David,
Usually when a computer turns itself off, it's because it's overheating.
And if your fans are malfunctioning (that's probably what the motors are),
then it's very likely that it's overheating.
I'd take the machine to someone in your town who repairs computers. It
could be something as simple as cleaning out dust inside, or it could mean
you need a new motherboard or power supply. They'd be able to tell you for
sure.
