I have a 286 laptop running micro Linux, which I installed off of a stack
of floppies after getting bored of playing around with Minix. :P But true
no compile time... However my Gentoo days taught me why compile to install
everything doesn't always work that well. (Anyone want to compile
openoffice from source?)
Yeah... until either nvidia ships open source drivers or wayland kills off
xorg or something else makes that problem go away then there will always be
that risk. Glad to hear that everything works with Wine for you.
Personally Wine has always been a crapshoot (even when using winetricks
and what not). I have one or two programs that are just too buggy to use.
So I end up keeping versions of Windows around, just in case.
