Hi Darcy....

Is it possible to obtain the artwork/lightscribe label you used on your CD.
I live in Oshawa and wanted to distribute Lucid to a few people and thought
the label you used rocks, verrryyy, verrryyy sharp.

Thanks, George. I've put up a blog post here:
http://kwartzlab.ca/blog/darcy-casselman/2010-05-03/very-lucid-release-party

And yeah, it's Lightscribe. The image was created in Inkscape on
Ubuntu, but the discs were printed on Windows, unfortunately.
Lightscribe has binary Linux drivers, but they're 32-bit only, and I
don't have a 32-bit system kicking around at the moment. Hopefully I
can get that sorted out in the next 6 months...

If you want a launch party, you should just go ahead and have one.
All it takes is picking a venue and getting the word out. I just do
the cake and all that nonsense because I think it's hilarious. :D

Darcy.

Darcy,

It's certainly, been a while, but I have successfully used Lightscribe on
both 32 & 64 bit Karma installs. I recall getting 64bit going was a bit of
a challenge.

I'll try to get around to trying it on Lucid in the next couple of days, and
get back to ya.

The mailing list isn't for everyone :P

Hey folks,

Thursday the 6th from 7 to 9 PM HackLabTO will be hosting a small,
informal Lucid release party.

Bring snacks, a machine you want to install Lucid on (we have a
netinstall server!) or just your smiling happy self!

The HackLab is located at 170A Baldwin Street in Kensington Market,
above Graffiti's Bar, next door to Cobs. For those taking the TTC, take
the Spadina car to Nassau (one stop south of College); for those
driving, there's some street parking, and a Green P lot accessible from
both Baldwin and St Andrews streets.
