Digests are generally for reading only. If you wish to actively
participate it's recommended to subscribe to the full list. This list
really does not have that much traffic, so if you create a filter in
your email client to direct posts from this list to a separate folder
you can peruse and respond to the list at times that are more
appropriate than your other email.

You should read the release notes before upgrading as they spell out
the major issues that could not be solved before release.

Note, this is for 9.10 RC, I assume it will be updated before the 29th.

In my opinion, not a bad idea. In the past a few bugs have been solved
a little while after release. But then again, if the community waits
until things are 'perfect' the time-line for addressing bug fixes gets
longer and longer.

Again, see the release notes. There can be, at upgrade time, issues that
cannot be solved by the package management tools available. Though
most upgrades should happen without issue.

Good luck whenever you decide to upgrade, this list and ubuntu-users is
available to discuss any concerns and problems you may encounter.

Again, peruse the release notes. This is the Ubuntu devs telling us
what to look out for when release upgrading.
