Perfect laptops [was: Is there an Archive for this list?]

Even Bluetooth?  Now that Victor *Mendonça has helped me* fix my cooling 
problems[1] the only really annoying thing is that I can't use my 
Bluetooth mouse on my laptop. 

It seems that the Bluetooth radio isn't recognized at all -- when I 
select "System, Preferences, Bluetooth" I get an error message "No 
Bluetooth adapters present".

The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite P200D; I'm currently running Karmic, 
updating the system daily.  'bluetooth' and 'gnome-bluetooth' packages 
and their dependencies are installed.  The 'toshset' package is 
installed too, but I don't think that has any Bluetooth stuff in it.
