Yes, great story.

Commercial POS software runs just fine in VirtualBox; some even runs under
WINE. But the management finds it too expensive and wants to get the
students to write something in FileMaker Pro, which also runs (slowly) in
VirtualBox and is so much slicker than Kexi or Access or any other database
manager I've ever used (and I was, for a while, a professional textual
database developer) that I can't imagine using anything else.

so I'm going to let it go for now, go on vacation to the Wet Coast, and see
what develops.
