Free Ubuntu desktop/server books, where to put them

You may want to contact the libraries first to see if they can accept 
donations. When I was looking to donate about $3,000 worth of current and 
brand new technical books to my local library I was told they would go 
straight into the books for a buck bin to raise money for books the library 
wanted to buy. This was not exactly the response I'd been expecting to 
receive. I donated them anyway but was a little bit surprised at their 
response.
