OK OK I got it figured out now.

I send my public key to them, they encrypt there message and send it to me
and I decrypt it with my private key and then can read it.

To use there public key I went to
Applications>Accessories>Pass..etc  ( this is seahorse)
And pasted from the clipboard their public key ( in the edit menu)

I then can encrypt my message on the clipboard and paste it into an email.

Is there a GUI way of doing this. I know that some email clients can be set
up to do this, but I was looking for an independent GUI to do it.
