Recommend compatible hardware

Hi Michael, I've used ubuntu now on 2 different (generic) dell laptops
without any issues....I don't think you should have any problem

I will mention though on the 2 laptops I've been using, the dvd burner
was detected as "/dev/sg0" which doesn't automatically have the
permissions set properly for burning.....here is the fix that I used:

Burning Bug
	run: sudo gedit /etc/rc.local
	add (before exit 0): chown root:cdrom /dev/sg0
	on the next reboot everything will work
