Instead of installing the Ubuntu 8.04 over my Gutsy install, I
downloaded the update via Update Manager, and believe it or not, it all
went well (well, first of all, you have to make sure that all components
have been updated to latest version).
Downloaded the update overnite and completed install when I got to
computer in the morning.
All works well, except I now have 8, yes, 8 boot options, when I should
have 4 (I have dual boot XP/Ubuntu partitions - so 4 is right)

I now have 2 RT boot options for Ubuntu, plus I have 2 subversions of
Ubuntu 8.04 to choose from - what's up - why the additional subversion?
How can I remove them from my boot options?
Will this cause boot problem, or stability issues?
