Re Kmymoney2 and Ubantu Help Needed

Hi:

  I am a newbee and am happy with using Ubantu

  I am using V7.10 and am trying to get kmymoney2.

  I was able to DL kmymoney2 using Synaptic and was then able to
  get it running via terminal but got the following message

bob at bob-desktop:~$ kmymoney2 

X Error: BadDevice, invalid or uninitialized input device 158

 the program seemed to load OK but when I tried to save some info I
entered, was able to get it saved.

  Q. 1 What is device 158?

     2. What should I do to save the info I enter?

      3. I have followed the instruction for installing both CVS and
         bzip2 as well as the above DL but still trouble getting them
         to work.

     Could someone let me know where my mistakes are and what I should
do to get kmymoney2 working with Ubantu 7.10
