VOOLUME CONTROL PROBLEM

Richard,  I have three options:  the 

Intel 82801BA-ICH2 (ALSA mixer) I I noted in my original message , Brooktree 878 (ALSA mixer) for my tv connection, and Analog Devices AD1981A (OSS mixer)
