recommends needed for softwares/packages

how hard was it to install? i dunno how to copy that one file to the
usr/lib folder, other than that the instructions do seem easy to follow,
i think i need more practice, yet do not want to lose my computer again,
so will wait, being a simpleton that i am, am finding many walls....
