and unless they  like tweaking / fixing stuff, that's probably prudent.
If a new / wannabe linux user comes in looking for the "latest" ubuntu, I
will do my best to talk them down to Dapper 6.06.01, unless they have a real
need for the latest, or really just wanna play with the shiniest toys, and
won't be freaked out if it breaks.
