already filled a first bug report about brasero
Brasero Disc Burner. The disc in "CD/DVD Drive" cannot be ejected. An unknown error occured
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/brasero/+bug/486114/comments/8
Seems when burning, brasero says 100%success, then tries to eject th disk unsuccessfully.
The disk has to me manually ejected and ... data is corrupted on the disk
Some times, even after having ejected the disk, it seems it is stll mounted
In some cases the disk can be read may data are corrupted. With a rewriteable media, the disk is so corrupted, than inserting such burned cd in the drive, the system consider there is no cd in the drive and the CD no longuer can be read and even erased.
This seems to be a brasero reported bug but... in an older version. Fix should have been released.

Filling conrtibutions with this bug i was told to try with something else than brasero.
Then i tried toburn with k3b
K3b says 100% success but in the same time says the operations is not finished (50%) and... says there is no media. The problem is : it says it has no media as the burning procedure is engaged : so the media is physically here but... it seems the system has lost any reference to the currently burned cd.
Going to join screen copy for the exact report of k3b if usefull.
