my current kernel is 2.6.24-10 generic
I am having the same issue with this drive.
 I am going to install a kernel update (2.6.24-21) that just came out for Hardy.
Did not fix issue...
So can someone confirm that this will work with Intrepid.
It comes out in two weeks.
